ESOMED / NEXANE INJECTION Esomeprazole 40 Injections
Composition : Each vial contains Esomeprazole 40 mg powder for solution for injection/infusion
Indications : Gastric antisecretory treatment when the oral route is not possible, such as:
  • Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) in patients with oesophagitis and/or severe symptoms of reflux
  • Healing of gastric ulcers associated with NSAID therapy
  • Prevention of gastric and duodenal ulcers associated with NSAID therapy, in patients at risk.
  • Prevention of re-bleeding following therapeutic endoscopy for acute bleeding gastric or duodenal ulcers.
Contraindications : In patients with known hypersensitivity to any component of the formulation or to substituted benzimidazoles (angioedema and anaphylaxis have occurred).
Adverse Effects : Either 20 mg or 40 mg esomeprazole given once daily by intravenous injection (no less than 3 minutes) or intravenous infusion (10 minutes to 30 minutes).
Dosage : Headache, Flatulence, Nausea, Abdominal pain, Diarrhea, Dizziness/vertigo, Constipation, Injection site reaction, Drying of mouth, Pruritus
