ORTHONET INJECTION Sodium Hyaluronate 1% w/v Injections
Composition : Each pre-filled syringe contains sterile solution which provides 20mg of Sodium Hyaluronate, in 2ml of liquid.
Indications : For the sustained relief of pain in osteoarthritis of the knee.
Contraindications : Do not administer to patients with known hypersensitivity to any ingredient of the product or to avian proteins. Intra-articular injections are contraindicated in cases of infection of the knee joint or infection and diseases of the skin in the area of the injection site to reduce the potential for developing septic arthritis.
Adverse Effects : Local reactions such as pain, swelling/effusion, and warmth or redness at the injection site have been reported. Other adverse effects are headache, rash, ecchymosis and pruritus.
Dosage : The contents of one pre-filled syringe (20 mg/2mL) to be injected into the affected joint once a week to a total of five injections, using a standard technique. No adjustment of dose is required in elderly patients. This can be repeated at not less than 6 monthly intervals.
